About·Roots

Rooted in systems.
Driven by people.

I'm an IT operations & systems engineer and former Director of IT, with experience across franchise technology, e-commerce, agile product management, support operations, Microsoft cloud environments, data and BI modernization, access and security management, and cross-functional transformation.

What I love most: using technology to improve real people's lives, simplify complexity, and help teams operate with clarity.

Beyond the day job, I build — enterprise dashboards, AI-powered tools, open-source agents, desktop applications, and accessible websites for local businesses. The grove doesn't just tend itself; it grows new trails.

Spruce branch with cone — a symbol of resilience and renewal

“A grove grows because every tree has room, light, and roots in the same soil.”

Two Lenses

The work reads differently depending on what you need.

Field Deployment Engineers

Embedded with operators, shipping to production.

I don't hand off to an ops team — I am the ops team. Discovery with non-technical operators, scoping against real constraints, rollout at franchise scale, and the CI/CD + security posture to keep it stable. Every system I build has been used by real people in real locations.

  • Discovery through production rollout
  • Non-technical operator context
  • OIDC, zero stored secrets
  • Eval harnesses gating every release

AI Product Managers

Orchestrating agents, not just prompting them.

The interesting problem isn't the model — it's the system around it. Planner agents, specialist sub-agents, human-in-the-loop approval gates, evaluation harnesses, cost-per-outcome decisions. I build the oversight layer, not just the feature.

  • Multi-agent orchestration patterns
  • HITL guardrails before destructive writes
  • Evaluation harnesses as release gates
  • Cost-per-outcome visibility

Either way, the proof is the same — see the case studies.

Philosophy·The Compass

Technology should feel like a trail, not a maze.

The best systems create flow, visibility, accountability, and trust. My work is about helping teams move through complexity with confidence.

I

Clear the undergrowth

Remove what blocks people from doing their best work — noise, friction, dead processes.

II

Bridge the canopy

Connect tools, data, and teams so handoffs feel seamless and light reaches every layer.

III

Blaze the trail

Document, train, and make the way forward visible — so others can walk it without a guide.

IV

Deepen the roots

Design for resilience — every system supports the next, and the grove holds through every storm.

03
Capabilities·The Tools

What I bring to the grove.

Not a tool dump — grouped the way the systems are actually built. Every skill here has shipped real work, from multi-tenant platforms to open-source releases.
